Military discount lunch at Chick-fil-A

Since 1946, Chick-fil-A has served its distinctive fried chicken featuring high-quality ingredients, like all-breast chicken that’s free of fillers, artificial preservatives, hormones, antibiotics, and steroids.

Chick-fil-A encourages local restaurant operators to plan charitable endeavors, including military appreciation events. Although the chain doesn’t have a military discount, individual operators may offer discounts to active duty service members and veterans on Veterans Day in 2024.

It’s up to the discretion of the individual franchises, so you’ll need to check with your nearest restaurant to see if they’ve got anything planned. Show your military or veteran ID or a copy of your DD-214 when you ask for a military or Veteran’s Day discount.

How Chick-fil-A Supports the Military and Veterans

Chick-Fil-A franchises also support veterans by hosting benefit events like Skate for the Chicken, which benefits Angels of America’s Fallen

Some Chick-fil-A locations host “military appreciation” events with free food for service members and veterans. However, military appreciation days don’t always coincide with Veterans Day, so make sure you check your local restaurant to keep tabs on upcoming events.

For example, Chick-fil-A restaurants in El Paso and Las Cruces held their military appreciation nights in October, offering free meals to active and retired military personnel plus their immediate families, according to news coverage of the event.

Chick-fil-A franchises in San Diego also host an annual military appreciation night. Last year’s event aboard coincided with the Marine Corps’ birthday on Nov. 10 at took place aboard the historic USS Midway Museum.
