Menards military discount

Menard Inc. is a privately held chain of home improvement stores with 350 locations in 14 midwestern and southern states. You can also shop online and take advantage of several great deals no matter where you live.

Menards competes with other national home improvement chains with aggressive price matching and several ways to save off regularly priced in-store items.

While the chain doesn’t specifically offer a military discount, there are other ways to get a good deal on name-brand and high-quality products, including items from Mastercraft, Dakota, and Masterforce. Menards also sells appliances, garden supplies, pet supplies, and some groceries, priding itself as a one-stop shop for many of its customers.

How to Get a Menards Discount

Although there is no specific military discount, Menards does have several other ways active and retired military members can save money. Here’s what you should know.

The Menards rebate program is robust, and working in conjunction with manufacturers and suppliers, you can save big on their mail-in rebate program. Rebates are clearly marked online and in stores. On your way out of the store, stop at the rebate center.

This is usually located at the front of the store, so it is easy to visit as you leave the location. Rebate slips are easy to find, organized by number, and also visible on accessible shelves.

It takes about 6-8 weeks in most cases to receive your rebate in most cases.

Menards is also famous for its 11% Off Everything events. A few times a year, Menards will offer this storewide discount for any purchase, which is refunded in the form of a rebate as well.

This is a great time to make larger purchases. Rebates will come back to you in the form of a check you can use for future purchases at Menards.

The Menards BIG Card is the store’s Chase credit card. With a BIG Card, you can save money in various ways, starting with a 2% rebate on all of your Menards purchases at the end of the year.

If you use your card for gas purchases, you can get an additional 1% rebate back annually as well. The BIG Card also gives you access to a special weekly advertisement with prices lower than those for the general public. BIG Card holders also get a special gift on their birthday.

Ray’s List is the Menards clearance program. It is filled with discontinued products, floor samples, out-of-season offerings, unclaimed special orders, and more.

If you’re shopping the Ray’s List online and want to pick up a clearance item from your local store, search items from stores near you to see what is available.

Menards also has a price match policy and will match the price of any object that is advertised at a lower price at another store. If you see an item at Lowes, Home Depot, or another home improvement store, you can pick it up for the same low price at Menards.

All you must do is bring the advertisement with you and show it to your cashier.

Other home improvement retailers that offer military discounts are Lowe’s, which offers active and retired military members 10% off for in-store and online purchases, and Ace Hardware, which offers a 10% military discount in stores only.
